Bob’s Back…

by Admin

Sunrise 3Yep, I’m back!

I hope everyone had a great summer. I did. I had a blast!

I’m sure many of you noticed there hasn’t been much activity on the site for the past few months.

After nearly 7 years of running the blog I got burnt out … so took a break to attend to other areas of my life (that I’ve been putting off for a long time).

Have you ever noticed that when you stop doing something it suddenly becomes evident how much time you were spending doing it … such was the case with the blog. Once I got away from it, I suddenly found myself with 10-20 hours a week of extra time on my hands. Of course I had to pay Nancy $400/month to keep everything with the site running while I was out cruising around. (If you don’t know who Nancy is, she’s one of my *Virtual Assistants* in the Philippines.)

Anyway I spent the summer traveling about and enjoying life with friends here and there. I dislike schedules, so when I travel, I don’t have one. I just head out in whatever direction tickles my fancy at the moment and see where I end up. I think it is called rambling – LOL – 🙂

Anyway, I had a blast and I’m back at home base now tucking myself in for the winter.

I’ll be catching up with postings to the blog over the next few weeks.

More later …

Can’t wait to hear the details of your ramblings, Bob. Please share your thoughts and give suggestions of the places where you found rambling to be the best. I love open-ended trips, but we don’t get to do many of them.
Happy for you to have had such a good summer. You were missed!

Hi Bob, glad you are back. Although I am sorry I missed you, as you were planning to come all the way up North. There will be another time I hope, and the invitation stands for other Saigon Kids. Montréal is a fun place, warm hearted even in freezing winter, nice people, good food, both french and north american atmosphere, in other words the best of two worlds.

Thanks for posting the picture of the 7 “old ladies”. I chose one where you could not see too much for obvious reasons-lol-
We were celebrating our 70th birtdays, all of us or almost from 1944…ouach!, but we did have a lot of fun.

Bob, I understand that managing this site is costing you money. Is there a way we, or at least I can contribute. No reason why you should be alone to pay when we all enjoy. Send me a postal adress, please.

    Big hugs to all
    Mimi

    Bob,

So great you took a vacation to recharge your batteries. Sounds like you had a wonderful time just relaxing and kicking back. Many thanks for all the work you do to keep the site running so that we may all stay connected.

    Ruth
