Deja Vu: Rock N Roll – 50th Anniversary: The Day The Music Died February 3, 1959

On February 3, 1959 Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and The Big Booper died in a plane crash near Clear Lake, Iowa.

This is a Tribute Collection of 21 videos honoring these Rock N Roll greats and “The Day The Music Died”

Enjoy! 🙂

CLICK HERE to view all 21 videos of The Day The Music Died. On the right side of page click on “Play All Videos” to view them in order.

Some of the videos are Buddy, Richie and The Big Booper. Other are John Lenny, Elvis and others singing their songs. There are also some rare rehearsal/practice/jam sessions of John Lenny (and others) playing Buddy Holly songs.

As you view these you’ll see and hear many clips from before these artist ever became famous. Like “Beggar To A King” the Big Boopers first recording. The first film footage of Elvis, Buddy, Jonny Cash and others.

I hope you enjoy this Tribute to these great legends of Rock N Roll.

By the way, the music didn’t die … it lived on … 🙂

As always, you are welcome to leave your comments below of your memories of our Saigon days and these great Rock N Roll tunes.

    Saigon Kids,

Maybe it is just me, but anyone who has not slow danced to Buddy Holly’s True Love Ways while singing softly into his/her ear is missing one of the great experiences of life.

If you have somehow missed this experience, please consider getting this done soon, right now would be better.

Actually…at the Saigon Kids Phoenix Reunion 2000, that was one of the songs the D.J. played at the Dinner, Dance. That was one song my wife Susan requested…..
