Most of us Saigon Kids grew up during the 1950s and 1960s experiencing the birth of Rock & Roll when Elvis hit the air waves with — That’s All Right Mama.
By 1956 Elvis was known around the world and Rock & Roll was here to stay.
In March 1957 Elvis and his parents purchased Graceland.
For those of you who’ve never visited Elvis’ home at Graceland (and those who have) below is a historical video tour of Graceland from 1864 to 2015.
Graceland was listed on the National Register of Historic Places November 7, 1991.
It was designated as a National Historic Landmark March 27, 2006. It is the first house related to Rock & Roll to achieve this.
