Research Participants Wanted For New Study

by Molly Greene (ACS)

I received this in an email from Overseas Brats and thought I’d share it with Saigon Kids in case any of you might like to participate in this research project.

Beth Melles is a doctoral student in the Department of Educational Psychology at the Unitversity of Oklahoma and is studying how living abroad impacts one’s opinions and thoughts.

Molly, I did the survey. Frank

  • Frank

By the way! My oldest graduated from OSU, so we never cheer for OU! We root for Texas over them. HeHe!

  • Jo Brown Strasburg

I did the survey too. Was interested as to why so many questions about our religious preferences, etc…..

    • Jo – I think this part of the research is gathering information about *how living overseas as a youth effects religious believes* … hence, the questions about religious preferences, etc.

Do you mean to tell me I am that much older than Frank? What’s up with that?
I had to decline to take the survery because I am older than 64.
Should I lie and participate anyway? I love surveys.

    • S’ellen – It is a commonly known fact that women stop having birthdays at the age of 29. After that they *only* celebrate the *Anniversary* of their 29th birthday. Therefore, it is not possible for you to be older then 64. So it would appear you are eligible to participate by taking the survey — as Joseph Campbell would say, “Follow your BLISS” — and take the survey … LOL 🙂

OU? We call it ZERO U down in Texas.

I took the survey, which was interesting. However, given that this survey appears to only be influenced by experiences abroad prior to the age of 18, I’m skeptical whether survey respondents had either the insight or sophistication at that age to answer some of one questions with a 3 or 4.
