WHO SIGNED MY *MOT DONG*?

Submitted by Brooks (Toland) Kasson (ACS)

Brooks (Toland) Kasson Mot Dong

Mot Dong belonging to Brooks (Toland) Kasson signed by Randy Cheston sometime during 1960-62. Brooks (Toland) Kasson collection. Circa 1960-62. CLICK IMAGE TO ENLARGE.

Do you all know of someone who was in Saigon by the name of Randy Cheston?

I’ve come across a *Mot Dong* that he signed, presumably when we were in Saigon 1960-62.

I’m using it as a bookmark.

[Could be the brother of Eliot “Pete” Cheston – Admin]

  • Brooks,

Randy is Pete Cheston’s younger brother. When you, Pete, and I were sophomores (in 60-61), Randy was in Mrs. Tillman’s 7th grade class (see page 80 of the 1961 Gecko).

Randy served as a Marine Corps officer, and afterwards was a pilot for FedEx. He seems to live in Memphis, TN. You can view a picture of him on LinkedIn.

I’ll bet Randy would like to see that mot dong note that he signed. Why don’t you be the one to call him and encourage him to come to the Phoenix reunion? 😉 Just Google his name and you’ll be surprised how much you’ll learn!

    Bruce
